Painting

For a long time now I have been talking about painting our bedroom, but haven't got around to it. I decided today was going to be the day. I told my husband I was going to paint it pink and brown and he asked if I forgot that a man sleeps in that bed. My husband will never be one of those guys in a pink shirt. Have you ever had to remove wallpaper it is tough work. I almost said forget it. We finally got off as most as we could. I love the way it looks Reagan says he likes the bottom half because it isn't so girly, but the top half was too pink I think his dad has rubbed off on him.

Children's Museum

Today we went to the children's museum. We had a great time Reagan and Kaitlyn really enjoyed the Lego part and dressing up as super heroes. Today we did not use the elevator and we packed a lunch to save on calories and our budget. It was really nice to spend some time together. Reagan did really well he took turns doing what he and Kaitlyn wanted.Kaitlyn forgot to charge her ds and he even shared with her which is asking for a miracle. (he even sleeps with his ds sometime nights) When we were leaving I was praising him for his behavior and he said "yeah I know I had zero fits" which felt good that he even understands our days go more smoothly when he cooperates. I think Reagan is starting to learn he dosen't like being grounded. Oh well I guess that's another life lesson we have to learn.

Weekend with my best friend

Lately I have been working hard and have been a little stressed trying to be super mom. My husband decided to take matters into his own hands to give me the rest and relaxation I so needed. He called my anut who not only agreed to take my children but my dog as well. (bless her heart) John and I went away this weekend we ate at the spaghetti factory and stayed at a hotel that had the greatest hot tub. It was so nice and great price thanks to priceline.com. We really enjoyed our time together. I am glad to be home with my family and I feel much more relaxed.
Today we were talking about tatoos and I said someday I would like to get one on my foot. Any guesses what I did today? It was a lot of fun John is usually anti-tatoo but after watching mine get done he is maybe thinking about getting one someday.
This is my favorite restraunt it is a good thing we don't have one in town or I would never lose weight.
Relaxing at the hotel by the fire. We missed the kids but were thankful for some quiet time together. Me and John love playing card games well this trip I think the student became the master. I can never win rummie against him and I finally learned his trick on holding cards so the other person ends up with all the cards. My friend made this scarf I'm wearing in this picture she is awesome. Check her out at http://sherific.blogspot.com/

So sad

Today I was at a table with some of my preschoolers and one of the girls was singing. They are always singing, but usually it's Hannah Montanna, High School Musical, or songs we sing in chapel. The school policy is Christian or kids songs. Anyway I was at the table when one girl started singing the song "I kissed a girl". I have never heard the song until then and told her that it wasn't appropriate and please sing something else. She told me her parent and her sing it in the car. I was speechless it's bad enough to not be aware of what your child is listening to, but totally different to know and sing along. I was really sad that this five year old knows things that she shouldn't know whatever happened to kids being kids. I came home and looked it up because I thought maybe it's not that bad but it was even worse. Here is the video for the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAp9BKosZXs

Let's go on Mommy date.

Today my husband went tobagganing with his family so it was just me and the kids. My kids love science central I kind of think its a little boring, but we had a great time I packed a picnic so we could eat there. Kaitlyn has been waiting till she is tall enough to go down the high wire bike and the slide and today she got to do both. Poor think got half way around on the bike and got scared so the worker had to push her the other half. Reagan's behavior was really well he took turns doing what Kailtyn wanted too and had no fits. After we went to the library, the last time we were there Reagan could get books but no movies due to his behavior. Tonight he asked if he could get movies and I said yes he then apologized and started naming what he did wrong from like two or three weeks ago. I was really happy that he understood his choices and could realize on his own that they were wrong. The best part of the library was Reagan has started getting into computer games ans they fight over the computer alot well I signed them up for computer and while they each had their own computer I got some time to relax and read. We finished the night off with making pizza and watching Madagascar2 together.

A little angry

Today my dad has been dead for two years. I was doing totally fine, but for some reason today I have a lot of anger towards him. (I know it sounds crazy) I am angry that he didn't take better care of himself. On the plus side me and Debbie played racket ball today and I think all the anger improved my game usually she wins by a landslide but today I won one out of three games.
