Vacation

This is us having Thanksgiving dinner. Reagan's favorite part was the noodle soup.

This is Bronner's the biggest Christmas store in the world. Reagan picked out a John Deer Ornament and Kaitlyn picked out an ant carrying watermelon and cherries. (her two favorite things.)
Reagan asked me if Santa was real this weekend, and I said no because I don't want to lie,but after meeting this Santa he dosen't know to believe me or not. He was impressive.

The Christmas Story is my husaband's favorite movie. I don't really care for it but we watch it every year. (if you have never seen this movie you probably don't get this picture.)

Here we are on the candle walk.

Reagan's favorite place. Him being a surprise in the happy meal.

We decided to take the kids out of swimming lessons for the holidays and I am amazed how well they are doing. Reagan swims under water great and Kaitlyn can jump in nine feet and swim back to the edge.

This is Reagan's favorite part of vacation.

My kids love sticking their heads in these things.

This year we went out of town for Thanksgiving. It was great I have been working more hours lately with the Holidays, and it was really great to able to get out of town and spend some time with the people I love most. We went to Frankenmuth, Michigan. Christmas is my favorite time of year especially the lights and this town goes all out. They really put the true meaning of Christmas out there too one celebration we went to in town they read the Chritmas story and several stores had signs that said Jesus is the reason for the season as you walked in. A big thank you to Deb and Steve for taking such wonderful care of our dog while we were gone.

Where does the time go?

This weekend we went on vacation to Frankenmuth. The last time we were there Kaitlyn was just a baby. It's hard to believe that pretty soon she'll be eight. Last time we were there she was playing with rattles now she plays with her ds. She is growing too fast. Here is some pictures of the last time we were there. ( the last one is this year)

Lowe's

Today we went to kid's build today at Lowe's. This is one of our favorite family times. Today the kids made football goals for tossing paper footballs through.

Family Game Night

Tonight we made pizza and had a great time playing games. My kids are growing up so much. Reagan is five and Kaitlyn is seven. Tonight we played Monoploy Junior. Usually Kaitlyn always wins, but tonight I was the winner. Usually I'm the first one out because I like to save my money instead of buying property.

This is Reagan taking my money. He gets really into it. He is not a graciuos winner. (I think he gets that from his Aunt Tammy)

Reagan's PJ's

I wanted to make Reagan some pajama's my mom always buys him some for Christmas, but I decided to make him. I work at a craft and store and have helped several people figure out how much fabric they need to make their project, so I thought how hard can it be. Last week we had a deal on fabric and patterns so I bought five patterns and enough fabric to make three pairs of pajama's. I hate to tell Simplicity but it was not so simple. Let's just say I don't think I'll be starting my own clothing line any time soon. The pants I kept sewing straight across so he couldn't get in them (sorry no pictures of that adventure, but you can get the general idea from my struggle from these pictures of the shirt adventure.)
This is a picture of me sewing the sleeve where the neck should go.

This is the sleeve inside out.
This is my wonderful husband helping me seam rip for the one hundredth. Isn't he great. (behind him is the quilt that I'm suppose to be working on before Christmas)
This is Reagan thrilled with his new pajamas. He found some train material I had in the bedroom and came out and said great now you start working on these.

no sour grapes

I work at a craft store where the majority of the employees voted for Obama. Of course they all know that I voted for McCain (and my store manager voted for McCain all the rest are Obama) I am very open about my faith and can still influence others with my positive attitude. For one thing I can be grateful that we live in a country where we do get to vote. So many times people don't get their way and spend the next four years complaining, instead I am going to spend my time praying for those over us because that's what the Bible says to do. When a negative thought enters my head I will lift that person up in prayer.
